В статье дается обзор исследований относительно имперских систем в рамках социологии государства за предыдущее десятилетие. Автор рассматривает наиболее известные труды и концепции – Майкла Хардта, Амитая Этциони, Бертрана Бади, Александра Мотыля, Доминика Ливена и др. Сравнивая этих и других исследователей, автор показывает их специфику, делает вывод о прогрессивном развитии теории империологии.

Abstract
The article reviews research on the imperial system in terms of sociology of the state in the previous decade. The author considers the best-known works and visions - Michael Hardt, Amitai Etzioni, Bertrand Badie, Alexander Motyl, Dominic Lieven etc. Comparing these and other researchers by showing their specificity, the author makes a conclusion about the progressive development of the theory of imperiology.
